Love in Every Language

Imagine people from different cultures and backgrounds writing love across the globe.  If we were to capture those moments we would have an incredibly rich and diverse photo collage of distant lands and languages.  Two years ago a friend overseas shared this great art idea and I wanted to see it take off.  With hours of planning and Skype discussions we are finally releasing the project to the public.  Officially we are beginning to gather photos for the Love in Every Language Project.

The challenge is simple, write out love with water and take a photo of it.  Then upload your photos and spread the word near and far.   To upload your photo and read more click here.  Below are some shots I took from a summer day in Minneapolis, MN.

“Gravity of Stars” Made Here 2015

Today is the official lunch of the 2015 Made Here project.  Combining local artists with vacant Minneapolis storefronts, spaces were transformed into creative exhibits.  Among the 30 spaces, I was able to add some of my stars into the mix and take over one of the showcase locations.  Gravity of Stars is a piece that was created based on the textural work that I build into my star paintings.  As an installation, I was able to explore how art interacts with the environment.

Gravity of Stars can be seen on the 2nd floor of the 811 LaSalle building.  The Made Here urban art gallery in downtown Minneapolis, will be up through the summer.  http://madeheremn.org/showcases/

Star Spark Paintings

Kickstarter coverWith three months of planning on how to make my paintings more accessible, I have created and officially launched a Kickstarter Project.  Through this project, some of my original art will be available and for the first time I am offering prints of my star paintings.  If this project is fully funded it will be what I am up to most of this summer. Receive a magnet, print, or original painting for your pledged support.  Consider supporting this project at $1 or more. This project ends on May 15 at 5:19pm Central time.
